June 27, 2026, is a special day for us. On this day, *Ajker Patrika* completes five years and steps into its sixth year. Five years may not seem like a long time, but in the life of a newspaper, every day brings a new test and every edition carries a new responsibility. It is through our commitment to fulfilling that responsibility day after day that we have reached this new milestone.
The journey of *Ajker Patrika* has not been an easy one. We began at a time when the news media worldwide was facing significant challenges. Rapid technological change, an explosion of information, intense competition from social media, and the evolving expectations of readers required us to establish our place in a constantly changing landscape. Throughout this difficult journey, our greatest source of strength has been our readers. Their trust, affection, support, and constructive criticism have continually inspired us to move forward.
From the very beginning, *Ajker Patrika* set out to establish itself as a credible, responsible, and people-centric newspaper. We have strived to present objective journalism in the public interest through fact-checking and the pursuit of truth. On this joyful occasion, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our hardworking journalists serving in different parts of the country.
