Apart from this, 169 cases have been filed in the Traffic-Tejgaon Division, 512 in the Traffic-Mirpur Division, 462 in the Traffic-Uttara Division and 242 in the Traffic-Gulshan Division.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Division has filed 2,323 cases against traffic violators in various areas of the capital. Of these, 512 cases were in Mirpur area. At the same time, 479 vehicles were dumped and 345 vehicles were wrecked.

Among the cases, action has been taken against buses, trucks, covered vans, CNG-powered auto-rickshaws and motorcycles for violating the law. The highest number of cases were registered in the Traffic-Mirpur division, with 512 cases. This was followed by the Traffic-Motijheel division with 463 cases and the Traffic-Uttara division with 462 cases.

This information was confirmed in a notification sent by Niaz Mehdi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Department, on Wednesday.

The notice said that these cases were filed after conducting special operations against traffic violators in different areas of the capital on Tuesday (June 23).

The notification said that 97 cases have been filed in the Traffic-Ramna Division, 166 in the Traffic-Lalbagh Division, 463 in the Traffic-Motijheel Division, and 211 in the Traffic-Wari Division.

The DMP said that such operations are being conducted regularly to ensure road discipline and keep traffic management effective in the capital. The operations of the DMP's traffic department to maintain traffic discipline will continue in the future.
